Meet Our Leadership Team

Scott Tinsman is CEO of Sivyer Steel Castings and board member of Sivyer Holdings LLC.  He is also the COO of Twin State, Inc, Chairman of Rock River Lumber and Grain, and managing partner of Twin State Technical Services.  Prior to joining Twin State Inc, in 1989, Scott was employed by IBM as a Facilities Engineer for Robotics, Sales Representative; and an Equipment Leasing Specialist.

He sits on the boards of Quad City Bank and Trust and Commodit Ag.

Active in his community, he is a state trustee for The Nature Conservancy –Iowa Chapter (Des Moines), and board member of the Quad Cities Community Foundation.  He is a past president and former board member of the Bettendorf Community School District, the Vera French Foundation, Vera French Mental Health Center, and The Fertilizer Institute  (Washington, DC);  along with having sat on various committees for Genesis Health Systems and Two Rivers YMCA over the years.

A graduate of Northwestern University, B.S. of Industrial Engineering.

Jennifer D. Collins is the Human Resources Director at Sivyer Steel Castings.  Jennifer brings over 20 years of manufacturing HR practices to Sivyer Steel Castings. 

Ms.Collins graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree & Human Resources Certificate from St. Ambrose University and her MBA from the University of Phoenix.  Jennifer currently is in the Doctorate of Business Administration program at University of Phoenix. 

Tim is a recent addition to the Sivyer Steel Castings team. He brings extensive experience in continuous improvement, quality engineering, quality management systems and manufacturing operations. He has an MBA from the University of Iowa and maintains three professional certifications through The American Society for Quality (ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence). Tim’s approach focuses on deployment of two powerful methodologies, Lean and Six Sigma, within an integrated management system process to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Michelle Ferkel is the Controller of Sivyer Steel Castings, LLC. Michelle brings over 15 years of Accounting experience to Sivyer Steel Castings. She began her career as an intern at a local CPA firm and held subsequent positions in credit and collections, sales and customer service, and accounts payable. She joined Sivyer Steel in March of 2016. 

Mrs. Ferkel graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of Business.
