Mike Baxley is the new CEO of Sivyer Steel Castings LLC. He realized the value of Sivyer Steel and generated interest with a number of individuals in the greater Quad Cities area to fund the acquisition.
Mike has a record of strategically focused turnarounds, start-ups and new product launches. His strong sales and marketing background is integrated with significant manufacturing operations experience. He is successful at delivering profitability goals and re-engineering business processes in domestic and international markets for leveraged, private and public companies.
Mike started his career as an Officer in the Navy’s Nuclear Submarine service. He was then hired into Procter & Gamble’s Brand Management program where he gained strong training in a wide variety of business skills. He progressed through several large public companies working in Food, Textiles, Footwear, Metal Stamping, Automotive Parts, Capital Equipment, Fiberglass, Milling and other industries. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Math from Rice University and is a Federally Certified Nuclear Engineer. He is married and has one son who is an Attorney in Washington D.C.
Mr. Kramer is currently serving as the President of Sivyer Steel Castings. Mr. Kramer earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside. He has held a variety of positions with companies both in and out of the metals casting industry. Beginning his career in computer systems development he transitioned into several manufacturing operations positions, and ultimately to the position of President/CEO for four companies. His experience includes small to medium sized companies, both publicly and privately held.
Chief Financial Officer
Cathy graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She began her career in public accounting as a financial statement auditor specializing in manufacturing, gaming, not-for-profits, and healthcare. Mrs. Meinsma earned her certified public accountant license in the State of Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Cathy is also active in the CFO and Controller’s roundtable of the Quad Cities.
Director of Operations
Keith graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Technology Management. He began his career at Sivyer Steel Castings in 2005 as a foundry engineer and is currently our Director of Operations. He worked for 3 years at a customer of Sivyer Steel Castings' as a supplier quality engineer traveling to steel foundries all over the world.
Director of Supply Chain
Chad Rosenow is the Director of Supply Chain at Sivyer Steel Castings. Chad graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and MBA Degree. Chad brings 20 years of experience to Sivyer Steel Castings in the fields of logistics, warehousing and sourcing with companies such as ACE Hardware and KONE Corporation.
Human Resources Director
Jennifer D. Collins is the Human Resources Director at Sivyer Steel Castings. Jennifer brings over 15 years of manufacturing HR practices to Sivyer Steel Castings. Ms.Collins graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree & Human Resources Certificate from St. Ambrose University and her MBA from the University of Phoenix. Jennifer currently is in the Doctorate of Business Administration program at University of Phoenix.
Director - Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
Tim is a recent addition to the Sivyer Steel Castings team. He brings extensive experience in continuous improvement, quality engineering, quality management systems and manufacturing operations. He has an MBA from the University of Iowa and maintains three professional certifications through The American Society for Quality (ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence). Tim’s approach focuses on deployment of two powerful methodologies, Lean and Six Sigma, within an integrated management system process to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
