We have the technology and experience to ensure the quality of your steel product, whether it's produced by Sivyer Steel or another foundry. Our state-of-the-art Met Lab conducts a battery of essential analysis and metallurgical tests, including tensile, hardness, impact and hardenability. Equally as important as these factors are the internal characteristics of your casting. The vacuum-emission spectrometer provides analysis on each heat, both before and after the heat is tapped to assure conformance to specified compositions. Our 4 Mev Linear Accelerator provides radiographic analysis on castings with section thicknesses from 1/4" up to 13" (6mm to 330mm), analyzing for discontinuities, including shrinkage, gas, porosity and sand inclusions. Magnetic particle inspection or dye penetrant examination is the final step in ensuring the quality of a casting.
