In 1992, our Engineering department at Sivyer Steel Corporation was established to focus resources on designing and building top quality foundry tooling for manufacture of high integrity steel castings. We realized that to survive, we had to develop a “get it right the first time” mentality.

We accomplish this goal with the use of high-end engineering and numerical simulation software. Sivyer Steel Corporation was one of the first Steel Foundries in North America to purchase MAGMAsoft process simulation software. MAGMAsoft allows Sivyer Steel Corporation to accurately predict inherent foundry defects on the computer models, thus allowing us to eliminate them before the tooling is complete. This means the castings come out right the first time, with very few rejections for shrinkage defects.

In 1995 we acquired Pro-Engineer and use it as a front end for MAGMAsoft and also to assist customers in the design process. Over the years we have successfully participated in numerous concurrent engineering projects. It is now commonplace for Sivyer Steel Corporation to develop and produced castings using only electronic data.
