About Us

Dedicated to producing high-quality, high-volume custom castings for many major manufacturing industries, Sivyer Steel Corporation was one of the first large steel foundries in the United States.

Founded in 1909 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, our foundry relocated in 1961 to Bettendorf, Iowa. Today, we run an ISO 9001:2000-certified foundry that serves the needs of customers in the construction, mining, railroad, transportation, pump and valve, power generation, steel, aerospace, agriculture, demolition, scrap and solid waste recycling industries. To ensure the highest quality and efficiency, our skilled engineers leverage advanced technical capabilities—including computer-aided engineering, machining and drafting (CAE, CAM and CAD), Pro-E modeling, pattern engineering, MAGMAsoft simulation of casting pouring and solidification, and various forms of NDT and NDE testing.

Sivyer Steel manufactures carbon, low alloy, armor, austenitic manganese, and stainless steel alloys, using sand casting disciplines including shell, green sand, and no-bake. We are vertically integrated with heat treat, non-destructive testing and on-site machining to provide a rough or finished machined product. And everything we make is supported with state-of-the-art engineering and quality control led by expert staff.

Our advanced capabilities and talented employees make us an integral part of Meterra, an innovative, global resource for cast components. Meterra’s employees on the ground around the world lead an agile network of partners with a wide range of low-cost, high-quality capabilities. Together, the people of Sivyer Steel and Meterra cast beyond convention to ensure quality, delivery and the lowest possible price to meet the demands of today’s customers.
